Bridge Kids NY is a Manhattan-based private practice providing the highest quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services in the New York City area. Our team is composed exclusively of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) who provide direct therapy to children and young adults in their homes, community and schools. CEOs/Founders (and practicing BCBAs) Dani and Peri created Bridge Kids in 2014 in an effort to create a highly ethical company that consistently operates based on excellence and best practice. Please note, this position welcomes BCBAs who are dedicated to providing direct 1:1 therapy and working in teams with other like-minded and passionate BCBAs. All new therapists undergo an intensive onboarding period with the support of our Executive Director and Training Coordinator. Practicum students who have experience providing ABA and those with Limited Permits who are looking for incredible hands-on training and ongoing clinical support, are also encouraged to apply.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provision of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Services

    • All therapists are required to provide high-quality, evidence-based behavior analytic services in accordance with their training as certified BCBAs/LBAs and in accordance with the BCBA Ethics Code. 

    • All therapists must be able to provide the full scope of services required by their client in the domains of: (1) Discrete Trial Training; (2) Naturalistic Environment Teaching; (3) Training in Adaptive Daily Living Skills across home, school, and community settings. 

    • All therapists must be able to adequately demonstrate the application of behavioral concepts, principles, and procedures as outlined in the BACB Task List.

    • Once fully onboarded, all therapists must continue demonstrating skills outlined in the Therapist Onboarding Evaluation.

    • Therapists must meet necessary physical requirements to work with children and young adults and be able to provide ABA services safely in all settings (i.e., home, school, community, indicated by a client's behavioral and instructional programming.)

    • Therapists must be comfortable providing push-in ABA services in public and private classroom settings, representing Bridge Kids positively as a collaborative professional.

  • Complete a 40-hour work week including approximately 20-25 direct therapy hours per week  

  • Create, modify and monitor programming and behavior intervention plans

  • Continuously analyze data and implement program changes as needed

  • Conduct formal direct assessments (ABLLS-R, AFLS, VB-MAPP, etc.)

  • Maintain client data and materials in an organized and up-to-date manner

  • Collaborate with a team of BCBAs on each case

  • Collaborate and consult with client’s related service providers as well as medical professionals

  • Maintain consistent and respectful communication with caregivers

  • Send regular updates to caregivers and therapy teams

  • Participate in IEP meetings with the guidance of our IEP coordinator

  • Testify in impartial hearings with the guidance of our Legal Coordinator 

  • Participate in monthly internal team meetings for clients

  • Write acquisition programming, FBAs, BIPs, Progress Reports (annual) and Treatment Plans (as needed)

    Qualifications

  • Current BCBA certification *LBA preferred*

  • Limited Permit SUPERVISION AVAILABLE

  • At least 2 years of home- and/or school-based ABA experience

  • Experience administering and interpreting a variety of clinical assessments (e.g., VB-MAPP, AFLS, ABLLS, etc.)

  • Excellent clinical judgment

  • Ability to build strong, supportive relationships with parents, team members and other caregivers

  • Excellent professional writing skills 

  • Ability to speak fluently using ABA terminology and also have the ability to simplify for non-behavioral audiences

  • Open to constructive feedback and comfortable overlapping with other BCBAs

  • Ability to apply feedback and modify own behavior to meet performance standards
